The aim of the study is to evaluate the relationship between compassion and psychological resilience in a sample of university students experiencing the Covid-19 pandemic. The sample consists of 94 students in total. Of the sample, 72 are female (77%) students and 22 are male (23%) students. The main hypothesis of the study was formed as "there is a significant relationship between compassion and psychological resilience". Compassion Scale and Psychological Resilience Scale were used in the study. Factor analysis, reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, independent t-test and correlation analysis were performed on the demographic information about the sampling and the scales used in the study. It is concluded that there is no relationship between compassion and psychological resilience, which has not been encountered as the subject of any research in the literature.
As a result of the research, the psychological resilience of male students was found to be higher than female students, and compassion for female students was found to be higher than male students. Students between the ages of 22-29 have higher psychological resilience than students aged 21 and under. What is the first thing that comes to mind when students say "mercy?" There was no significant difference between the answers they gave to the question and compassion and psychological resilience. Other findings obtained in the study were evaluated together with the results of the research in the literature.
