Abstract

I. Caesar dönemi “C G I L” lejantlı koloni sikkeleri, Parion ve Alexandria Troas’ın dışında Troas’ta üçüncü bir Roma kolonisinin varlığını kanıtlamaktadır.Lejantın son harfi olan “L” ile Appianus’un Lampsakos’a çok sayıda İtalik kökenli göçmenin yerleştirilmiş olduğunu söylemesi ise bu kolonin Lampsakos olduğunu göstermektedir. Bu koloni statüsünün ne kadar sürdüğü tam olarak bilinmese de Lampsakos atfedilen sikkeler başta olmak üzere değerlendirilen tüm veriler, Lampsakos’ta kurulan Roma kolonisinin, kısa ömürlü olduğuna işaret etmektedir

LAMPSAKOS’TA KURULAN BİR ROMA KOLONİSİ: C.G.I.L

Abstract

“C G I L” legendary colony coins dated J. Caesar period prove the existence of a third Roman colony in Troad apart from Parion and Alexandria Troas. The last letter of the legend “L” and the saying of Appian that a numerous italic-origin immigrant were placed to Lampsacus show that this colony is Lampsacus. Although it is unknown exactly how long this colony status lasted, all the evalated data, especially Lampsacus attributed coins; indicate that the Roman colony founded in Lampsacus was short-lived
