Abstract

Petrous apex is located near the Meckel’s cave
and Dorello channel. The inflammation of the petrous apex can cause severe
complications due to important anatomical structures in the immediate vicinity.
Therefore, it is important to diagnose petrous apicitis cases in a timely
manner. The cases in this study are presented with the opinion that knowing the
magnetic resonance imaging findings may have positive influence in the
diagnosis of petrous apicitis which is very rare.

Petröz apisit tanılı iki olgunun manyetik rezonans görüntüleme bulguları

Abstract

Petröz apeks yerleşim yeri itibariyle
meckel’s cave ve Dorello kanalına yakın yerleşim göstermektedir. Petröz apeksin
inflamasyonu yakın komşuluğundaki önemli anatomik yapılar nedeniyle ağır
komplikasyonlara neden olabilmektedir. Bu yüzden petröz apisit olgularının
tanılarının zamanında konulması önem arz etmektedir. Bu çalışmadaki olgular oldukça
nadir görülen petröz apisit tanısında manyetik rezonans görüntüleme
bulgularının bilinmesinin tanıya fayda sağlayacağı kanaatiyle sunulmuştur.
