İcat Edilen Miras: Fas Milliyetçiliğinde Geleneğin Yeniden Keşfi

Abstract

Bu makale, “icat edilmiş gelenekler” kavramını ve bunların Fas milliyetçiliğini şekillendirmedeki rolünü ele alarak, Faslı milliyetçilerin politikalarını uygularken icat ettikleri gelenekleri incelemektedir. Faslı milliyetçilerin siyasi gündemlerini ilerletmek ve ulusal kimlik duygusunu geliştirmek için gelenekleri nasıl stratejik olarak inşa edip desteklediklerini araştırıyor. Kültürel uygulamalar, tarihsel anlatılar, semboller ve festivaller gibi icat edilmiş geleneklerin belirli örneklerini analiz eden bu çalışma, bu geleneklerin politika uygulamalarını şekillendirmek ve halk desteğini toplamak için nasıl karmaşık şekillerde kullanıldığını ortaya çıkarmaktadır. Fas milliyetçiliği bağlamında mirasın inşası ve üretimine dikkat çekerek, icat edilen geleneklerin ulusal anlatı ve kimliğin şekillendirilmesinde nasıl önemli bir rol oynadığına ışık tutmaya çalışıyor ve siyasi hedefler doğrultusunda gelenek inşasının dinamiklerine dair fikir vermektedir. Nihayetinde bu çalışma, icat edilen geleneklerin politika gündemlerini nasıl etkilediği ve Fas milliyetçi hareketinin yörüngesini nasıl şekillendirdiğine dair daha geniş bir anlayışa katkıda bulunmaktadır.

Invented Legacy: The Rediscovery of Tradition in Moroccan Nationalism

Abstract

This article analyses the traditions invented by Moroccan nationalists in the implementation of their policies, considering the concept of "invented traditions" and their role in shaping Moroccan nationalism. It explores how Moroccan nationalists strategically constructed and promoted traditions to advance their political agendas and foster a sense of national identity. By analysing specific examples of invented traditions, such as cultural practices, historical narratives, symbols, and festivals, this study uncovers the intricate ways in which these traditions were utilized to shape policy implementation and rally public support. By drawing attention to the construction and production of heritage in the context of Moroccan nationalism, it seeks to shed light on how invented traditions play an important role in shaping national narrative and identity and offers insights into the dynamics of tradition-building in pursuit of political goals. Ultimately, this study contributes to the broader understanding of how invented traditions influence policy agendas and shape the trajectory of Moroccan nationalist movement.
