Abstract

Mayıs 1915'in başında General Raço Petrov ve Kovaçev beni çağırdılar ve bana Bulgar hükümetinin, Rusya'nın Varna ve Burgaz limanlarını işgal etmesinden korktuğunu söylediler. Bu bakımdan Türker'le "yakınlaşmanın" gereklilikten öte bir şey olduğunu söylediler. Bu iki general, Rusya tehlikesi karşısında bir ittifakın mümkün olup olmadığı konusunda Türk bakana gidip ağzını aramamı istediler.

MEMOIRS OF DIMITIR ATCHKOFF, 1915 BULGARIAN-TURKISH ALLIANCE

Abstract

At the beginning of May 1915, Generals Racho Petrov and Kovachev summoned me and told me that the Bulgarian government was afraid of Russia's occupation of the ports of Varna and Burgas. In this regard, they said that "getting closer" with Türker was more than necessary. These two generals asked me to go to the Turkish minister and ask him whether an alliance was possible against the Russian threat.
