Effect of Short-Term Conservation of Ram Semen on the Fertility and Pregnancy Diagnosis by Using Ultrasonsgraphic Method in Estrous Synchronized Akkeçi White Goat Breeds

Abstract

The objective of this study is to observe the effect of short term storage and dilution of buck semen on the fertility of White Goats received two injection of PGF2a analogue with 11 days interval and oxytocin treatment before artificial insemination and, to carry out some ultrasonographic measurements from White Goats Akkeçi at the stage 45' h hdays of pregnancy. Goats were inseminated 65 hours following second PGF2a. analogue. Fresh and dilued and 100' semen were used for animals from the group I. Goats from the group Il were inseminated with stored semen at 5°C for 6 hours before dilution.90.48% and 93.33% of estrous, 57.14% and 53.33% of conception rate were observed in the group I and Il respectively. The results of ultrasonografic inspection are as follows ; the diameter of amnion and the lenght of crown-rump, 49.63±1.72 mm 23.06±0.94 mm for the pregnancy of 45' hday, caruncular, orbital and cranial diameters 22.36±1.03 mm, 10.08±0.56 mm and 32.03+0.57 mm for the pregnancy of 100' hday.

Kızgınlıkları Toplulaştırılmış Akkeçilerde Kısa Süreli Saklanmış Sperma Kullanımının Dölverimine Etkisi ve Gebeliklerin Ultrasonografik Yöntemle Belirlenmesi

Abstract

Bu çal ışman ı n amac ı k ı sa süreli saklanm ış ve suland ı rı lm ış sperman ı n, k ı zg ı nl ı klar ı 11 gün arayla iki kez bir PGF2a ile toplulaşt ı r ı lan ve tohumlama öncesi oksitosin uygulanan Akkeçilerde sa ğ layacağı gebelik oran ı n ı ara şt ı rmak ve gebeliğ in 45. ile 100. günlerinde dölütlere ait baz ı ultrasonografik ölçüleri ortaya koymakt ı r. Bu çal ışmada 6.5-1.5 ya ş l ı keçi ve çepiçler kullan ı lm ışt ı r. Keçiler ikinci PGF2a analogu uygulamas ı ndan 65 saat sonra yapay tohumlama ile tohumlanmış t ı r. Grup I deki hayvanlar suland ı r ı lm ış taze sperma ile tohumlan ı rken Grup Il dekiler için 5'C de 6 saat süreyle saklanm ış ve suland ı r ı lm ış sperma kullan ı lm ış t ı r. Grup I ve Grup Il deki hayvanlar ı n s ı ras ı yla % 90.48 ve % 93.33 ü ikinci PGF2a analogu uygulamas ı ndan sonra k ı zg ı nl ı k göstermiştir; ayn ı gruplarda gebelik oranlar ı s ı ras ı yla % 57.14 ve % 53.33 olarak bulunmu ştur. Sadece bir çepiç hormon uygulamas ı na yan ı t vermiştir. Gebeliğ in Kı rkbeş inci günündeki ultrasonografik muayenenin sonucunda Amniyon kesesi çap ı ve kolumna vertebralis uzunlu ğ u s ı ras ı yla, 49.63±1.72 mm ve 23.06±0.94 mm ; yüzüncü günde yap ı lan muayenede ise karunkula, orbita ve kafatas ı , çaplar ı s ı ras ı yla 22.36±1.03 mm, 10.08±0.56 mm ve 32.03±0.57 mm olarak bulunmu ştur
