Abstract

Carried out in 1993-1994, this research aimed to find out the possibilities of weed control methods before and after the establishment of lawn areas in Central Anatolian conditions. In this research seven clifferent weed control methods were tested. According to the results obtained; total systemic herbicide Glyphosate and total systemic herbicide+manure sterilization Methyl bromide had no effect in controlling weeds at newly established turf. Total system ic herbicide+post emergence herbicide Picloram mixture application affected most of the weeds in the experimental plots. Manure sterilization alone did not show any difference from the control plots. Post emergence herbicide application alone controlled annual weeds, but failed in controlling some perennial weeds such as Agropyron repens. The most promising effect was obtained from total systemic herbicide+manure sterilization+post emergence herbicide applications.

Orta Anadolu Koşullarında Çim Alan Tesisinde Yabancı Otlarla Mücadele Olanaklarının Araştırılması

Abstract

Orta Anadolu ko ş ulları nda çim alan tesisinde yabanc ı otlarla mücadele olanaklar ı n ı n araşt ı r ı ld ığı bu çal ışma, 1993-1994 y ı llar ı aras ı nda yürütülmü ştür. Araşt ı rmada yedi farkl ı yabancı ot kontrol yöntemi denenmi ştir. Ara şt ı rma sonuçları na göre; ilkbahar sonu-yaz döneminde yeni çim tesis edilecek alanlarda bulunan yabanc ı otları n mücadelesinde, total sistemik herbisit ve total sistemik herbisit+gübre sterilizasyonu Metil Bromid uygulamas ı n ı n çok etkili olmad ığı saptanm ışt ı r. Bununla birlikte total sistemik herbisit+ç ı kış sonras ı herbisit uygulamas ı n ı n deneme parsellerinde bulunan yabanc ı otları etkilediği belirlenmiştir. Tek başı na gübre sterilizasyonu uygulanan parsellerle kontrol parselleri aras ı nda istatistiki olarak fark görülmemi ştir. Ancak gübre sterilizasyonu+ç ı k ış sonras ı herbisit uygulanan parsellerin kontrol parseliyle farkl ı olduğ u saptanm ışt ı r. Tek başı na ç ı k ış sonras ı herbisit uygulanan parsellerde Agropyron repens tarla ayrığı gibi çok y ı ll ı k yabanc ı otlar hariç, tek y ı ll ı k yabanc ı otlar ı n kontrol alt ı na al ı nd ı ğı ' görülmü ştür. Denemede en etkili sonuç, total sistemik herbisit+gübre sterilizasyonu+ç ı k ış sonras ı herbisit uygulamas ı yap ı lan parsellerden elde edilmi ştir.
