Abstract

In this study, effects of substituting different levels of canola meal for fish meal on growth, feed conversion ratio FCR , somatic indices and body compositions of the angel fish fries were determined. Isocaloric 3500 kcal/kg digestible energy and isonitrogenic 44% crude protein six experimental diets were formulated to meet the nutrient requirements of angel fish. Canola meal was substituted as rates of 0%, 8%, 16%, 24%, 32% and 40% dietary crude proteins of fish meal 45.52% in control diet. Four hundred fifty angel fish were distributed to six experimental groups with three replicates. The experimental results showed that the best weight gain and specific grow rate were found for control and 8% canola meal diets. These criterions were reduced P0.05 . As a conclusion, it was suggested that the canola meal can replace up to 16% of dietary fish meal protein without adverse effects in angel fish fry diets

Kanola Küspesinin Melek Balığının Pterophyllum scalare Lichtenstein 1823 Büyüme, Somatik İndeksler ve Vücut Kompozisyonuna Etkileri

Year 2009, Volume: 15 Issue: 02, 181 - 187, 01.05.2009
