Some biological properties of Spiny Bollworm, Earias insulana Boisd. SBW , were determined by using artificial diet in four different temperatures 21±1, 25±1, 29±1 and 33±1°C in 1994-1995. The artificial diet is based on kidney beans, alfalfa meal, whole powdered milk and yeast; chloramphenicol and methyl p-hydroxy benzoate were included as preservatives. Although growing time of SBW was reduced by rising temperature 25±1 and 29±1°C , the higher temperatures 33±1°C increased growing time. The shortest and longest biological time for SBW were 21±1°C and 29±1°C respectively. A regression analysis was done to determine the relationship between temperature and egg, larvae, pupae and adult of SBW.
