The retrospective evaluation of shoulder arthrodesis according to indications, technics and results

Abstract

Arthrodesis is not a frequent choice of surgery for the shoulder joint which has a high range of motion, between 1963 and 1987, totally 30 shoulder arthrodesis have been performed at the Orhopaedics and Traumatology Department of Istanbul University, Medical Faculty. The indications, technics and long term result of the cases have been compared and discussed with the literature about this subject.
