Öz

Arthrodesis is not a frequent choice of surgery for the shoulder joint which has a high range of motion, between 1963 and 1987, totally 30 shoulder arthrodesis have been performed at the Orhopaedics and Traumatology Department of Istanbul University, Medical Faculty. The indications, technics and long term result of the cases have been compared and discussed with the literature about this subject.

Öz

Çok yönlü hareketi olan omuz ekleminde artrodez sık uygulanan bir girişim değildir. İst.Üniversitesi İstanbul Tıp Fakültesi Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji Anabilim Dalında 1963-1987 yılları arasında toplam 30 hastaya omuz artrodezi uygulanmıştır. Vakaların endikasyonları, uygulanan teknik ve ulaşılan sonuçlar genel bilgilerle karşılaştırılmış, görüşlerimiz bildirilmiştir.
