The place of prophilactic antibiotics in septic arthritis

Abstract

The effects of prophylactic antibiotics in septic arthritis were studied in 45 rabbits. Prophylactic and therapentic antibıotıcs were given in 30 rabbits which were received bacterial inoculum to obkain infected joints. Fifteen animals. with joint sepsis were taken as control group. The use of appropriate prophylactic antibiotics appear to be effective to prevent septic arthritis.

Abstract

Septit artritte koruyucu antibiyotik uygulamasının önemini göstermek amacıyla 45 tavşan üzerinde çalışıldı. Bu tavşanların otuzunda bakteri inokülasyonu ile geliştirilen septik artritte koruyucu ve tedavi edici antibiotik uygulamalanrnn etkileri incelendi. 15 adet tavşan ise, sadece septik artrit oluşturularak kontrol grubu olarak kullanıldı. Sonuç olarak direk inokülasyonla septik artrit gelişimini önlemek için uygun koruyucu antibiotik tedavisine başlamasının gerekli olduğu kanısına varıldı.
