Use of lig. semitendinosus by reconstruction of the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL)

Abstract

During 1980 s; many methods and results have been declared about the therapy of knee joint instabi due to ACL rupture. We have reached a stability ratio of 93% by our reconstruction. We have been able to follow up 30 of our 32 patients and have taken the following subjects into consideration. A. Pain, b. hydrarthrosis, c. ability of movement, d. instability, e. muscular atrophy. Arthroscopic examir. tions have been performed after 10-20 revascularisation has been seen in 9 patients. We belive that the SL cess of the results of our technique lies in the excellent revascularisation of the grafts.
