Treatment of intertrochanteric femur fractures with 130 degree AO plate

Abstract

In this, study, we rewiewed the results of 42 patients treated for intertrochanteric fractures using 130 degree AO plate in our hospital between June 1992 and April 1995 with an average follow-up of 30 months. We obtained a union rate of 100% and the average Merle d' Aubigne hip rating score was found to be 15,4 (good). We determined excellent and good results at 76% (32 patients) of them. As a result of this study, we concluded using of 130 degree AO plate, in intertrochanteric fractures of femur is a reliable surgical treatment method.
