A rare complication after total knee replacement (Suction drain leaved in joint space)

Abstract

Total knee arthroplasty is a choice of treatment that relief pain, correct deformity and improve functions for the patients who have knee arthrosis. Currently, this treatment modality had became more popular. To achieve these purposes, the number of this kind of operations had increased. That is why, complications about these procedures have became more visible. In one of our patients whom we had performed total knee arthroplasty, drain has broken out at its distal part when we pulled the drain at the second day postoperatively. In this case report, we want to present a rare complication and its treatment way.
