Abstract

With the evolution of the Internet technology the number of web pages providing specialist information in orthopaedic and trauma surgery has increased rapidly. There is growing interest in Internet among Turkish orthopaedic surgeons. The “turk_orthopod,” organized as an Internet-based electronic mailing list for Turkish orthopaedic and trauma surgeons aims to provide easy and effective communication. In this review, recent advances in this area and high quality on-line biomedical resources are presented and the main purposes of “turk_orthopod” are introduced.

Abstract

Internet teknolojisinin gelişimine paralel olarak, ortopedi ve travmatoloji ile ilgili web sayfalarının sayısı da hızla artmıştır. Türkiye’deki ortopedistlerin de Internete olan ilgisi artmıştır. Türk ortopedistlerin internet üzerinde iletişimlerini kolaylaştırmak ve etkinleştirmek amacıyla, internet üzerinde “turk_orthopod” adında, Türkçe elektronik tartışma grubu oluşturuldu. Bu derlemede, ortopedi ve travmatoloji ile ilgili olarak Internet ortamındaki son gelişmeler ve kaliteli kaynaklar gözden geçirilmiş ve “turk_orthopod”un kurulum amaçları ve kullanım özellikleri tanıtılmıştır.
