Biomechonical problems encountered in the hip joint following the applicational total endoprosthesis (Significance of the femoral varus deformity in respect of proshetic bosening)

Abstract

In this study, attempts have been made to relate the altered biomechanic following total endoprosthetic application in the hip joint. Both the surgical procedure and the choice of material considerabiy affect the life and durability of the prosthesis in the application of total endoprosthesis. For instance, it is imperative that the length of the neck of the prosthesis should not exceed 35 mm and the CCD angle of the prosthesis should not be less than 140. Furthermore. The femoral varus deformity has been described to be the latent factor in increasing the bending moment and predisposing the loosening.
