Applying Data Mining to Measured Values of Spring Water Parameters to Determine the Relationship between Them

Abstract

The quality measurements of drinking water sources are crucial, and the values measured should be checked carefully. The water values are measured at specific intervals at drinking water treatment plant in Kocaeli, Turkey, and a treatment process is performed if the values are not at desired levels. In this study, data mining is applied to data obtained from these measurements, and using the results obtained, it is intended to find a correlation among the attributes. With a decision support system to be developed, one can check the values and decide whether the water will be treated or not.

İçme Suyu Parametrelerinin Ölçülen Değerleri Üzerine Veri Madenciliği Uygulayarak Parametreler Arası İlişkiyi Belilemek

Abstract

İçme suyu kaynaklarının kalite ölçümleri çok önemli olup, ölçülen değerler dikkatle kontrol edilmelidir. Kocaeli içme suyu arıtma tesisinde belli aralıklarla su değeri ölçülüp, değerler istenen düzeylerde değil ise arıtma işlemi yapılmaktadır. Bu çalışmada bu ölçümlerden elde edilen veriler üzerinde veri madenciliği çalışması yapılmış olup elde edilen sonuçlar neticesinde nitelikler arasında bir bağıntı bulunmaya çalışılmıştır. Geliştirilecek bir karar destek sistemi ile değerlere bakılıp suyun arıtılması ya da arıtılmaması kararına varılabilecektir.
