Tenis Sporu ve Duygular: PRISMA Bildirimi Kriterlerini Kullanan Sistematik Bir İnceleme

Abstract

Spor, duyguların yüksek yoğunluk ve önem kazandığı evrensel boyutlarda bir aktivitedir. Ancak, spor ve duygu arasındaki ilişkiye dair çok az kanıt vardır. Bu çalışmada, tenis sporunda duyguların önemini analiz etmek ve bu konuda araştırma alanları önermek amacıyla tenis ve duygularla ilgili araştırma makalelerinin sistematik bir incelemesi yapılmıştır. Bu amaçla, elektronik dergi veri tabanı olarak ULAKBİLİM/TR Dizin ve Web of Science (WoS) veri tabanları 2017- 2022 yılları aralığında “spor”, "tenis" ve "duygular" anahtar kelimeleri ile taranmış, sistematik incelemeler ve meta-analiz (PRISMA) yönergeleri için tercih edilen raporlama kriterlerini kullanarak mevcut literatürün sistematik bir incelemesi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Buna göre, ilk tarama sonucunda elde edilen 139 makalenin her biri sistematik olarak gözden geçirilmiş ve dâhil edilme kriterlerini karşılayan toplam 10 makale, içeriklerini analiz etmek için seçilmiştir. Araştırma değişkenleri, örneklem grubu, odaklanılan konu, kullanılan yöntem ve uygulama zamanıdır. Sonuç olarak yapılan çalışmaların çoğunda sporculardan oluşan örneklem gruplarının yanı sıra duygu durumu ve stres ve stresle başa çıkma yollarına odaklanan duygusal değişkenlerin incelendiği görülmüştür. Araştırmacıların %60 oranında nicel araştırma yöntemlerini tercih ettiği ortaya çıkmıştır. Konuyla ilgili araştırma sayısının göreceli yetersizliği doğrulanmıştır. Özellikle ulusal alan yazınımıza katkı sağlayacak araştırmaların sayısının arttırılması önerilmektedir. Sonuçlar, araştırmacılara tenis sporu özelinde duygular üzerine yapılan araştırmaların genel çerçevesini sunmakta ve eksik alanların tespit edilerek değerlendirilmesi açısından bir kılavuz niteliği taşımaktadır.

Tennis Sport and Emotions: A Systematic Review Using PRISMA Reporting Criteria

Abstract

Sport is a universal activity where emotions gain high intensity and importance. However, there is little evidence of the relationship between sport and emotion. In this study, a systematic review of research articles on tennis and emotions was conducted in order to analyze the importance of emotions in tennis and to suggest research areas on this subject. For this purpose, ULAKBİLİM/TR Index and Web of Science (WoS) databases as an electronic journal database were searched with the keywords "sports", "tennis" and "emotions" between 2017-2022, for systematic reviews and meta-analysis PRISMA guidelines. A systematic review of the available literature was carried out using preferred reporting criteria. Accordingly, each of the 139 articles obtained as a result of the initial search was systematically reviewed, and a total of 10 articles meeting the inclusion criteria were selected to analyze their content. The research variables are the sample group, the focus, the method used and the time of application. As a result, it has been observed that most of the studies have examined emotional variables focusing on mood and stress and ways of coping with stress, as well as sample groups consisting of athletes. It has been revealed that 60% of the researchers prefer quantitative research methods. The relative inadequacy of the number of studies on the subject has been confirmed. In particular, it is recommended to increase the number of studies that will contribute to our national literature. The results provide the researchers with the general framework of the research on emotions in the sport of tennis and serve as a guide in terms of identifying and evaluating the missing areas.
