Special Issue Policies

What is a Special Issue?
Special Issues (SIs) are collections of papers centered around a subject of special interest and are organized and led by subject experts who take on the role of Guest Editor of the Special Issue. A Special Issue is not an issue of the journal. All submissions follow the same peer review process as regular papers and are published in the regular issues of the journal when they are accepted, but are additionally labelled as belonging to a Special Issue and are discoverable within the collection.

Special Issue Proposals
Submitting a Special Issue Proposal

To submit a special issue proposal, the Journal Editorial Office usually extends invitations to scholars to guest edit on topics of interest to the scientific community. However, we also welcome direct submissions from our readers and authors on a topic within their field of expertise. If you have an idea for a special issue, please provide the required information and submit your proposal through the journal's website (Mail adress).
When submitting proposals for a special issue, the editors will meticulously evaluate both the proposal's content and the qualifications of the guest editors. We welcome applications for special issues that meet our standards of suitability and qualification. However, we reserve the right to reject applications that we deem unsuitable or unqualified.

Open Access
The special issue will be published in an open access format, allowing articles to be freely accessible to all readers. Authors will be required to pay the journal's standard article processing charge to cover the cost of publication.

Ethical Principles and Publication Policy
All research papers in this journal have undergone peer review, following the initial editor screening and anonymized (double-blind) refereeing by at least two independent and expert referees. MJSS Editorial Board requires that authors strictly follow ethical guidelines from their country/state or international standards based on accepted reports (COPE Ethical Guidelines, ICMJE Recommendations, CSE’s White Paper on Promoting Integrity in Scientific Journal Publications, WAME resources, WMA - The Declaration of Helsinki). Originality checking and plagiarism prevention services are used. Once your paper has been assessed for suitability by the editor regarding the simlarity score (15% max.), further review processes will then continue.
Editorial Procedure of Submissions to the Special Issue
Special Issue submissions are peer-reviewed and published following “The MJSS Editorial Process”.
