PRODUCTIVITY AND TIME MANAGEMENT IN FOOD BUSINESS: A TURKISH COMPANY CASE

Abstract

In today’s globalizing world, where competition continuously enhancing, speed and cost have gained considerable importance, in addition time management’s value has been appreciated more. Managing time better would provide power both in individual career management and competitive corporate live. Hence, firms perform work studies and job analysis including time series analysis to improve their productivity and performance. In this study, the most significant factor effecting time studies and be influenced by time studies, human factor and their perceptions on time management and time analysis have been investigated. In the first part of the survey, demographic characteristics of participants were asked. In the second part of the survey, time measurements studies carried out in companies and their influences on employees as well as employees’ perceptions on time management studies and procedures have been inquired. With t tests and crosstab analysis, the food processing company in our study has been analyzed in terms of time management practices based on the survey data collected
