Section 1 - Definitions
Adapted Material: Refers to material derived from or based on the Licensed Material, which is subject to Copyright and Similar Rights. It includes material that has been translated, modified, edited, transformed, or altered in a manner that would require permission under the Copyright and Similar Rights owned by the Licensor. In the context of this Public License, if the Licensed Material is a musical work, performance, or sound recording, Adapted Material is always created/formed when synchronized with a moving image.
Copyright and Similar Rights: Refers to any rights related to copyright, including without limitation, performance rights, publishing rights, sound recording rights, and database rights, regardless of how these rights are labeled or categorized. Under this Public License, the rights mentioned in Section 2(b)(1)-(2) are not considered Copyright or Similar Rights.
Effective Technological Measures: Refers to measures not falling under the jurisdiction of appropriate authorities that are taken to comply with obligations arising from the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Copyright Treaty, adopted on December 20, 1996, or similar international agreements.
Exceptions and Limitations: Refers to exceptions to Copyright and Similar Rights that apply to your use of the Licensed Material, including fair use, fair dealing, or other limitations or exceptions.
Licensed Material: Refers to the artistic, literary work, database, or other materials to which the Licensor has applied this Public License.
Licensed Rights: Refers to the rights granted to you under this Public License, limited to all Copyright and Similar Rights that apply to the use of the Licensed Material, as granted by the Licensor under the terms and conditions of this Public License.
Licensor: Refers to the person(s) or entity(ies) granting the rights under this Public License.
NonCommercial: Refers to use that is not primarily intended for or directed toward commercial advantage or monetary compensation. Under this Public License, exchanging the Licensed Material with another material, through digital file sharing or similar means, does not constitute a commercial exchange if no monetary payment is involved.

Section 2 - Scope
Grant of License: Subject to the terms and conditions of this Public License, the Licensor grants you a worldwide, royalty-free, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive, irrevocable license to use the Licensed Rights to reproduce and share the Licensed Material, and to create and reproduce Adapted Material, solely for NonCommercial purposes, but not to share the Adapted Material.
Exceptions and Limitations: If there are exceptions or limitations regarding your use, this Public License will not apply, and you are not required to comply with its terms and conditions.
Duration: The duration of this Public License is outlined in Section 6(a).
Medium and Formats; Technical Modifications: The Licensor grants you the right to use the Licensed Rights in any medium or format, whether now known or developed in the future, and to make technical modifications to the Licensed Material as necessary, including modifications needed to circumvent effective technological measures.
Downstream Recipients: Any recipients of the Licensed Material will automatically receive an offer from the Licensor under the terms and conditions of this Public License to use the Licensed Rights.
No Downstream Restrictions: You may not impose any additional or different terms on the Licensed Material, nor apply Effective Technological Measures to it.
No Endorsement: Nothing in this Public License grants you the right to claim or imply that your use of the material is sponsored or endorsed by the Licensor, or that your use has received official status or support.
Other Rights: Moral rights such as the right to object to modification of the material, as well as privacy and other similar personal rights, are not licensed under this Public License. However, where possible, the Licensor waives any claims to such rights to the extent necessary for you to exercise the Licensed Rights.
This Public License does not grant rights to patents or trademarks.
Section 3 - License Conditions
The use of the Licensed Rights is subject to the following conditions:
Attribution: When you share the Licensed Material, you must:
Retain any attribution information (if provided by the Licensor), including the identity of the Licensor and other attributed persons, and the copyright notice.
Provide a reference to this Public License.
Indicate any modifications made to the Licensed Material.
If applicable, provide a URI or link to the Licensed Material.
If requested by the Licensor, you must remove any attribution information that is no longer applicable.
Section 4 - Database Rights
If the Licensed Rights include Database Rights, the following applies:
You are granted the right to extract, reuse, reproduce, and share the entire or substantial part of the database content only for NonCommercial purposes, provided that you do not share Adapted Material.
If the database content is included in a database that contains Database Rights, the new database may constitute Adapted Material.
If you share the database content, you must comply with Section 3(a).
Section 5 - Warranty Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability
The Licensor provides the Licensed Material as is, without any warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of ownership, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the extent permitted by law, the Licensor will not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Licensed Material, including direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, even if the Licensor was informed of the possibility of such damages.
Section 6 - Duration and Termination
This Public License remains in effect for the duration of the Licensed Rights, unless terminated for non-compliance. If you fail to comply with the terms of this Public License, your rights under this Public License will automatically terminate.
Upon termination, you must cease using the Licensed Material and may not continue to distribute or share it.
Section 7 - Miscellaneous
The Licensor will not be bound by any additional or different terms unless expressly accepted.
Any agreements, arrangements, or understandings not covered by this Public License are separate and independent from the terms herein.
Section 8 - Interpretation
This Public License does not restrict or limit the legal use of the Licensed Material in any way, and should not be interpreted as such.
If any part of this Public License is deemed unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it enforceable, while the remainder of the terms will remain in effect.
This Public License does not waive any rights or privileges of the Licensor, unless explicitly stated.
Creative Commons is not a party to any public licenses. However, Creative Commons may choose to apply a public license to its own materials and, in such cases, will be considered the "Licensor".
