Abstract

The collective security theory and energy security are two fundamental concepts that play a crucial role in maintaining global stability. Although these concepts differ in their primary focus, they are intricately interconnected and often aim to ensure peace, stability, and economic security. The link between collective security and energy security constitutes a critical component of contemporary international relations. Their symbiotic relationship is evident in how the stability provided by collective security frameworks supports energy security, while the assurance of energy resources, in turn, strengthens the infrastructure and capabilities necessary for collective security. This article aims to explore the multifaceted nature of this relationship through the example of North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Using a qualitative research methodology, the study seeks to explain the question of how a collective security organisation contributes to the protection of global energy resources and infrastructure.

Kolektif Güvenlik ve Enerji Güvenliği Arasındaki Simbiyotik İlişki: Ampirik Vaka Analizi Olarak NATO
