Abstract
Mold words are expressions that are expressed in specific situations and reflect the culture, lifestyle, traditions and customs of the society. In order to learn the structure and language characteristics of the society we are in, we look at the way of mold words. Mold words, which have an important place in vocabulary, offer unique examples in the dialects. The vocabulary of Anatolian dialects has a much wider vocabulary than the common language. The different uses of the words used in the common language in the dialects expand the vocabulary of the dialects. When the vocabulary of dialects is examined, proverbs, idioms and curses form a large part of the pattern words, and they draw attention with their different pronunciation features in the dialects over time.
According to Leyla Karahan’s Classification of AnatolianDialects, Şanlıurfa province, which is in the Eastern groups, has hosted civilization throughout history. The province of Şanlıurfa, where the drawing of the first civilization is located, contains the examples of living creatures that occur in the geography in their original examples. The different pronunciation of stereotypes specific to the region distinguishes Şanlıurfa from other regions. The studies carried out for the province of Şanlıurfa today show that the region has rich examples in terms of language.
In this study, proverbs word were obtained from the local people by way of compilation. Proverbs, idioms and curses were used as mold words from the Şanlıurfa region, based on the importance of mold words in Turkish vocabulary and their place in language studies, and they were classified into various subgroups.
