Abstract
Proverbs, which give information about a society's feelings, thoughts, philosophy, morals, belief systems and lifestyles, are very important structures in terms of expressive power and conceptual richness. These structures, which are the general rule; As a result of the experiences of the societies, it has been transferred from language to language, from generation to generation, and has reached the present day. They are anonymous because it is not known when, where and by whom they were told. Proverbs, which are taken back to ancient times as much as human history, have a very rich and voluminous appearance in Dîvânu Lugâti't-Türk, which is among the most basic sources of Turkish language and history. Many studies have been done about the proverbs in this work until today.
