Page Numbers: Page numbers should be placed in the footer, aligned to the bottom right and left corners, in 9-point font.
Text and Paragraph: In the main text, subheadings should be written in 11-point bold font, with the first letters of words capitalized. The text should be in 11-point font, justified. Book, Journal, etc. Names: In the text, names of books, journals, congresses, conferences, symposiums, and panels should be written in italics. For example: “Sources of Central Asian Turkish History, Belleten, International Human and Society Congress, From Past to Present Aleppo and Turkmens Conference, International Folklore Symposium” etc.
Use of Numbers: Numerical expressions are written in words at the beginning of sentences; subsequent ones are written in numerals. For example: “Of the thirty theses commissioned, twenty were related to Turkish history, and the remaining 10 were related to Mongol history.”
Use of Abbreviations: Abbreviations are placed in parentheses when used for the first time in the text; they are not used in subsequent instances. For example: “As a result, in 1957, Turkey had to apply to the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to cover external debts. The IMF became an important figure in the Turkish economy with this borrowing.” B.C., “B.C.” and A.D., “A.D.”
Use of Quotes in the Text: Short quotes in the text should be given in quotation marks and italics (“…”). Quotes less than five lines should be written within the line, and quotes longer than five lines should be written as a block, indented one centimeter from the right and left, with single line spacing.
Use of Visual Materials: When using photographs, diagrams, etc., in the text, sources must be cited. Legal responsibility for permissions or copyrights lies entirely with the authors.
Footnotes and References: Submitted studies should be prepared as follows for the reference system, citation format, and bibliography:
All references in the main text should be given using an in-text citation system instead of footnotes. In-text references should include the author(s)'s surname, publication year, and page numbers as follows:
Footnotes should be numbered on the relevant page, not placed at the end of the text. Footnotes should be written in 9-point font, single-spaced, justified, with a paragraph indent of 0.5 cm.
For general references in the text, if the entire work is being referred to, it is sufficient to write (author's surname, year). For example: (Togan, 1981).
If a specific page is quoted or relevant ideas are taken from a specific part, the source should be written with the page as follows: (Köker, 1998: 42).
Works by the same author from the same year are written as follows: (Zizek, 2009a) and (Zizek, 2009b).
If the number of authors is between three and five, all names should be written for the first reference; afterward, only the first author is mentioned. For example, the first time a source is cited (Kejanlıoğlu, Adaklı & Çelenk, 2004) and later (Kejanlıoğlu et al., 2004).
If a source with two authors is cited in the text, both authors' names are mentioned each time; for works with more than two authors, all authors are mentioned the first time, and only the first author is mentioned in subsequent references. For example: (Kafesoğlu, Yıldız, and Merçil, 1998).
If the number of authors is three or more, only the first name and “et al.” are used even the first time (Arat et al., 1991).
When using a reprinted old source in the text, a slash (/) is used. For example: “Freud (1923/1961) first suggested in his work that slips of the tongue in everyday language are a type of expression of repressed representations in the subconscious.”
Apart from the sources shown in the text, the classical footnote method should be used for necessary explanations, and automatic numbering should be used. The format for explanations should be: justified, left and right indent: 3 nk space before and after, single line spacing.
References: At the end of the article, all sources used in the article must be listed. Authors should be listed alphabetically by surname. The following rules should be followed when citing references:
The author's surname and the first letter of their name should be written in capital letters, and the title of the work should be in italics if it is a book, or in quotation marks if it is an article. After the title, the publication place and year for books, and the journal name, year, issue number, and volume number for articles should be provided.

Articles derived from Master's/Doctoral theses in which some of the research data were previously used should be specifically noted as footnotes, and the decision to publish is up to the Editors Board.

ARTICLE EVALUATION PROCESS
The International Social Sciences Journal of Asian Studies is an international peer-reviewed journal. Articles that have not been published before or are not currently under review in another journal and are approved by each author are accepted for evaluation. Submitted articles are reviewed by the Editor, Editorial Board, or Publication Board for originality, methodology, the significance of the subject matter, and compatibility with the Journal's scope. The submitted articles are subjected to a fair double-blind peer review process. The purpose of the peer review process is to ensure the publication of high-quality and original scientific studies. All articles submitted to the International Social Sciences Journal of Asian Studies for publication undergo the following article evaluation process:
Pre-Evaluation
All studies submitted to the journal are subjected to a preliminary review by the Editor or Editorial Board in terms of scientific content, publication principles, journal scope and format, plagiarism screening results, similarity ratio, copyright, and ethical declaration statement. If the article does not meet the necessary conditions, it is either returned before proceeding to the peer review stage or some changes may be requested.
Reviewer Policy
The International Social Sciences Journal of Asian Studies uses a double-blind peer review system throughout the process, where the names of reviewers and authors are kept confidential. The names of reviewers are listed in the relevant section of each issue during the publication stage.
Reviewer Evaluation
Articles that pass the preliminary evaluation stage are sent to two reviewers by the Editor. Reviewers are selected from the reviewer pool considering their expertise. The number of reviewers can be increased by the Editors or Publication Board if deemed necessary. Reviewers evaluate the submitted articles in terms of originality, contribution to the field, expression of the problem, critical review of related literature, methodology, presentation of findings, discussion of results by relating them to relevant literature, and suggestions. Reviewers may accept, reject, or request revisions to the articles. If one review is positive and the other is negative, the article is sent to a third reviewer. Thus, based on the reviewers' opinions, it is decided to publish the article directly, publish it after partial revisions, or reject it. Authors are given one month to complete the corrections specified in the review report. If the corrections are not made within this period, the work may be rejected.
Final Evaluation
All articles that have received positive opinions from reviewers and have reached the publication stage are subjected to a final evaluation by the Editor. Articles that have been proofread, corrected, and deemed "publishable" by the Editor are placed in the publication queue and published along with layout work. Authors submitting articles to the International Social Sciences Journal of Asian Studies are deemed to have accepted these peer review conditions and processes of the Journal.
