After the declaration of a crisis in modernism in the 1960s, modernism oriented criticisms were expressed in terms of “postmodernism”,“ anti-fundamentalism” or“post-structuralism”. In consequence of this paradigm shift in political theory, policies based on race, class and other traditional themes give place to policies, which outlook to produce hegemony against dominant discourses, brought up the lifestyle, ethics and identity issues to the agenda. Feminism, which has been the subject of these debates, has taken on an aspect that questions the basic assumptions of modernist heritage such as postmodernism in these years. The basic premise of this study is that postmodern theory provides a philosophical support to feminist criticism as a critique of modern discourses. the crisis of modernism in theory and practice and the impact of these crisis-relatedproblems on identities has been focused in this study and it is aimed to look the discussions on the right of difference in the political theory through feminist theory.
