Summary
24 boys snbjects were selected to study the fat
percent and their somatotypes of the Turkish national
judo players. Their avarage tall I.75m, weight 79, 46 kg.
age 20, 58 years and their fat percent was calculated %
7.71, and somatotypes were found 2.4-5.3-1.7.
The rel?ration formula was stated as fallows.
% fat= (0.152xAbdomen) + (0.129 biceps) +
(0. I 56xchest) + (0.133 x subscopula) + (0. 127x. triceps)+
(0. [45 x. thigh) + ( O. J 18x calf) + 0.8078
Between body fat rate, calculated by the new
formula, and endomorfi 0.9782 correlation, but ektornorfi
- 0.8746 correlation were found.
The high correlation between the results found by
using different methods make very reliable the new
developed forrnula.
