Abstract
With being center where drugs are available, Pharmacies also have an important role in providing health-related information and counceling to lower income people. Many factors are effective in spatial distribution of pharmacies in settlement areas. This distribution is noteworthy in urban areas especially in metropolitan areas. Thus the pattern of spatial distribution of pharmacies affects their accessibility and provided services which must be socially available. In addition, while investing, businessmen must know the factors which influence spatial distribution.of pharmacies.In this study, the factors that determine pharmacies location prefrences in Ankara which is second biggest city in Turkey are discussed by using step by step regression analysis. The close relationship between hospitals and pharmacies in terms of place of establishment is known, when the number of hospitals have been checked, the most important factors that determine the distribution of pharmacies are the amount of population, income level and the number of hospital beds.
