Tretmant of Anterior enamel hypoplasia with composite restoration: Two case report

Abstract

Aim: The defects that ocur at the anterior tooth can cause aestetic problems. One of these defects is enamel hypoplasia. Enamel hypoplasia is characterized by the development of less than normal amount of enamel. The defect can ocur on any tooth or multiple teeth and can be seen from a small pir or hollow to a large lesion that had been penetrated into the teeth. Environmental and genetic factors ocur that lesions. This includes trauma to the teeth and jaws, intubation of premature infants, infections during pregnancy or infancy and hereditary disorders. At the treatment of enamel hypoplasia, from simple to complex desensitizing agent, tooth colored restorative materials, laminate veneer restorations and all ceramic restorations can be used. Because of aesthetic problems, sensitizing problem and decay risc, such cases must be urgently treatment. Case Report: In these two cases, enamel hypoplasia was observed at two patients that presented to our clinic. After treatment options explained to patients, advantage of aesthetic, simply use and short treatment time, direct composite resin restoration application was decided to both patients. The enamel that affected from enamel hypoplasia was carefully removed. After the application of Clearfil S3 (Kuraray, Japan) adhesive, Ceram X (Dentsply, DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany) composite resin was applied with the incremental method and then polymerized. At last polishing was done and the restoration was completed. Result: As a result of direct composite resin application, reached an acceptable aesthetic. After complate the treatment, the patients control was done.

Anterior mine hipoplazisinin kompozit restorasyonlarla tedavisi: İki olgu sunumu

Abstract

Amaç: Anterior dişlerde meydana gelen defektler estetik problemlere neden olabilir. Bu defektlerden biri de mine hipoplazisidir. Mine hipoplazisi, minenin normalden az miktarda gelişimiyle karakterize bir defekttir. Defekt tek bir dişi veya birden fazla dişi tutabilir ve küçük bir pit veya oyuk şeklinden diş içerisine penetre olan geniş bir lezyona kadar değişik boyutlarda görülebilir. Çevresel ve genetik faktörler bu lezyonların oluşumunu etkiler. Dişlerde veya çenelerde görülen travma, erken doğum, hamilelik veya bebeklik sırasında geçirilen enfeksiyonlar ve genetik bozukluklar bu faktörlerden bazılarıdır. Mine hipoplazisinin tedavisinde basitten karmaşığa doğru hassasiyet giderici ajanlar, diş renginde restoratif materyaller, laminate veneer restorasyonlar ve full seramik restorasyonlar uygulanabilir. Bu vakaların estetik sorunlar, hassasiyet sorunları ve çürük riskinden dolayı en kısa sürede uygun şekilde tedavi edilmeleri gerekir. Olgu Sunumu: Bu iki vakada, kliniğimize başvuran hastaların ön gurup dişlerinde mine hipoplazisi saptandı. Tedavi seçenekleri anlatıldıktan sonra estetik, uygulama kolaylığı ve tedavi süresinin kısa olması avantajlarıyla her iki hastaya da direkt kompozit rezin restorasyon uygulanmasına karar verildi. Hipoplaziden etkilenmiş mine dikkatlice kaldırıldı. Clearfil S3 (Kuraray, Japan) adeziv uygulamasının ardından Ceram X (Dentsply, DeTrey, Konstanz, Germany) kompozit rezin materyal tabakalama tekniği ile uygulandı ve polimerizasyonu gerçekleştirildi. Son olarak polisaj yapıldı ve restorasyon tamamlandı. Sonuç: Direkt kompozit rezin uygulaması sonucunda kabul edilebilir estetiğe ulaşıldı. Tedavinin bitiminden sonra hastaların kontrolleri yapıldı.
