Evaluation the efficacy of self-adjusting file in C-shaped canals during root canal preparation

Self-adjustıng fıle sisteminin C-şekilli kanallar üzerindeki genişletme etkinliğinin değerlendirilmesi

Abstract

Amaç: Çalışmanın amacı C-şekilli kanal yapısına sahip kök kanallarının Self-Adjusting File (SAF) sistemi kullanılarak şekillendirilmesinin değerlendirilmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: C-şekilli kök kanal yapısına sahip olan dişler konik ışınlı bilgisayarlı tomografi taraması ile tespit edildi ve kronlar uzaklaştırıldı. Kök kanallarının ISO 20 el eğesi ile şekillendirilmesini takiben kanalların içine light green boya enjekte edildi ve dişler vakum cihazına yerleştirildi. Kök kanallarının boyanmasını takiben, C-şekilli kanallar 4 dakika boyunca SAF kullanılarak ortadan ikiye ayrıldı ve ışık mikroskobu ile görüntüler kayıt edildi. Görüntüler daha sonra Adobe Photoshop ve Image J programına aktarıldı ve SAF eğesinin kanal duvarlarına temas eden ve etmeyen bölgelerin alanları hesaplandı. Verilerin aritmetik ortalaması belirlendi. Bulgular: SAF ile C-şekili kök kanallarının %66 oranında şekillendirildiği fakat %34 oranında eğelerin kanal duvarlarına temas etmediği alanların varlığı saptandı. Sonuçlar: C-şekilli kök kanalları SAF sistemi kullanıldığında özellikle koronal üçte bir bölgede dentini uzaklaştırmada yetersiz kalmıştır
