Abstract

Amaç: Hareketli protezlerin yapımında kullanılan akrilik materyallerin dezavantajı, zamanla ağız ortamında estetik ve mekanik özelliklerinin değişmesidir. Akrilik maddelerde estetiği sağlayabilmek için, renk stabilitesi dikkate alınması gereken önemli bir kriterdir. Renk değişiminin olup olmaması, bu materyallerin kullanılabilirliği üzerinde önemli bilgi verebilir. Bu çalışmanın amacı; farklı kaide materyallerinin farklı solüsyonlardaki zamana bağlı renk değişimlerinin belirlenmesidir. Gereç ve Yöntem: 3 farklı kaide materyali; geleneksel muflalama ile elde edilen PMMA (Meliodent), enjekte edilebilen PMMA (SR-Ivocap) ve enjekte edilebilen poliamid kaide materyali (Deflex®), 5 farklı solüsyonda (çay, distile su, kahve, kola ve şarap) (n=8) 30 gün bekletilmiş ve 4 farklı zaman diliminde (0, 1, 7 ve 30. günlerde) spektrofotometre ile her örnekte farklı alanlardan 3 kez renk ölçümü yapılarak renk değişimleri (ΔE) hesaplanmıştır. Solüsyonlardan çay, 150 mL sıcak suya bir poşet; kahve, 150 mL sıcak suya 2.0 g olacak şekilde hazırlanmış; kola ve şarap gruplarında ise doğrudan şişe içinden 150 mL boşaltılmıştır. Solüsyonlar her 24 saatte bir değiştirilmiştir. Bulgular: Materyaller, solüsyonlar ve zaman dilimleri arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmuştur.
