ERUPTION CYST IN MAXILLA: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Purpose: Eruption cyst is a benign cyst of oral mucosa. They may disappear by themselves but if they hurt, bleed or are infected they may require surgical interventions. Material and Method: This paper presents a case report of eight-month-old child who presented eruption cysts in maxillar anterior region and it’s treatment with surgical incision. Results: Cysts improvement was observed after surgical incision. Conclusion: Eruption cysts are benign lesions that are usually asymptomatic and do not require treatment. However, if the cyst is symptomatic, it should be treated with simple surgical incision

MAKSİLLADA ERÜPSİYON KİSTİ: OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Amaç: Erüpsiyon kistleri oral mukozada görülen be- nign kistlerdir. Genellikle kendiliğinden iyileşirler, fakat ağrı, kanama veya enfeksiyon olduğu durumlarda cerrahi müdahale gerekir.

Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu olgu sunumunda, maksilla- sında erüpsiyon kisti bulunan 8 aylık bebek hasta basit cerrahi insizyonla tedavi edildi.

Bulgular: Cerrahi insizyon sonrası kistte iyileşme görüldü.

Sonuç: Erüpsiyon kistleri genellikle semptom verme- yen ve tedavi gerektirmeyen benign lezyonlardır. Fakat semptom verdiği durumlarda basit cerrahi insizyonla tedavi edilmelidirler.
