TEMPOROMANDİBULAR EKLEMDE GÖRÜLEN SİNOVİYAL KONDROMATOZİS ve CERRAHİ TEDAVİSİ : BİR OLGU SUNUMU

Abstract

Sinoviyal kondromatozis sinoviyumun kartilaj nodüllerle görülen, benign metaplastik proliferatif bozukluğudur. Sinoviyal kondromatozisin etyolojisi henüz net olarak bilinmemektedir. Erken evrelerindeki non spesifik semptomları nedeni ile mekanik semptomlar gösterene kadar diagnozu zordur. Bu vaka raporunda 71 yaşındaki bayan hastada sağ temporomandibular eklemde osteoartrit benzeri semptomlar gösteren bir sinoviyal kondromatosiz olgusu ve cerrahi tedavisi anlatılmıştır. Genel anastezi altında sinoviyal kondromatozis nodülleri uzaklaştırılmış, kondilektomi ve temporomandibular eklem protezi uygulanmıştır. 18. ay klinik ve radyografik kontrol sonucunda hastada kabul edilebilir iyileşme ve TME’de fonksiyonel hareket gözlenmiştir.

SURGICAL TREATMENT of SYNOVIAL CHONDROMATOSIS in TMJ: A CASE REPORT

Abstract

Synovial chondromatosis is a benign metaplastic proliferative disorder of the synovium, that appears as cartilaginous nodules. The aetiology of synovial chondromatosis is not fully understood. Until mechanical symptoms appears it is hard to diagnose synovial chondromatosis due to it’s non spesific symptoms in early stages. In this study we presented a case of 71 years old female patient with right temporomandibular joint synovial chondromatosis and it’s surgical treatment that shows osteoarthritis like symptoms. Synovial chondromatosis nodules were removed, condylectomy and temporomandibular joint replacement was performed under general anesthesia. In the 18.months clinical and radiographical follow up the patient had shown acceptable healing and functional temporomandibular joint
