Abstract

Verilerin istatistiksel analizinde tek
yönlü ANOVA ve Tukey LSD çoklu karşılaştırma testi kullanıldı. İstatistiksel
anlamlılık düzeyi p<0.05 olarak alındı.

Bulgular: Birinci gün sonunda yalnızca kırmızı
şarapta bekletilen Valux Plus ve Filtek Z250 örneklerinde ΔE>3,3 bulunurken
(p<0,05), 30 gün sonunda tüm örneklerde ΔE>3,3 bulundu. Tüm kompozitlerde
en yüksek renk farklılıkları kırmızı şarapta bekletilen örneklerde görülürken
(p<0,05), en yüksek ortalama renk farklılıkları Filtek 250 örneklerinde
tespit edildi.

Sonuçlar: Çalışmada kullanılan kompozit
rezinlerin farklı içecekler karşısında renk değişimine hassas olduğu bulunmuş,
ormoser-esaslı kompozit rezinler dışsal renklenmelere karşı daha dirençli
bulunmuştur.

COMPARISON
OF COLOR STABILITY OF ORMOCER AND DIMETHACRYLATE-BASED COMPOSITE RESINS AFTER IMMERSION
IN DIFFERENT BEVERAGES

ABSTRACT

Aim: The purpose of this study was to compare the color stability of organic
modified ceramic (ormocer) and dimethacrylate-based composite resin materials
after immersion in different beverages for a certain period.

Materials and method: Two different ormocer-based composite resin (Admira, Admira Flow) with
different viscosity and two dimethacrylate-based composite resin (
Valux
Plus, Filtek Z250) were used in this
study. Twenty composite resin discs (8 mm x 2 mm) were prepared from each
material. Specimens were randomly divided into 4 groups and were immersed in
three staining solutions (coffee
pH 5,5, cola pH 2,51, red wine pH 3,28) and distilled water for control group (n=5).
Color changes were measured with a spectrophotometer at baseline and after 1,
7, 15 and 30 days of immersion and
ΔE values were calculated. Data were analyzed by using one-way ANOVA
and post-hoc Tukey LSD. A p-value <0.05 was considered statistically
significant.

Results: At the end of the first day, only in Valux Plus and Filtek Z250 samples
immersed in red wine showed a ΔE value > 3.3, while at the end of 30 days in
all samples ΔE was > 3.3. Among all drinks tested, maximal color change was
caused by red wine (p<0.05). The highest color differences were calculated
in Filtek Z250 samples (p<0,05).

Conclusions: It can be concluded that the tested composite
resin materials were susceptible to staining with different drinks and
Ormocer-based composite resins are more resistant to external discolorations.
