ADLİ DİŞ HEKİMLİĞİNDE KİMLİKLENDİRME ve CİNSİYET TAYİNİ

Abstract

Sosyal, yasal ve adli nedenlerle kimliklendirme gereklidir. Cinsiyet tayini ise şüpheli sayısını azaltıp kimliklendirme işlemini kolaylaştırır. Dişler iskeletteki en sert dokudur ve çevresel etkenlerden çok etkilenmemektedir. Bu nedenle antemortem ve postmortem dental veriler kimliklendirmede kullanılmaktadır. Adli diş hekimliğinde, biyokimyasal, metrik ve non metrik yöntemlerin yanısıra yeni teknikler de geliştirilmiştir. Bu derlemenin amacı, adli dişhekimliğinde kullanılan kimliklendirme ve cinsiyet tayini yöntemlerini tanımlamaktır. Gender determination reduces the number of suspects and facilitates the identification. Teeth are the hardest tissue in the skeleton and are not affected by environmental factors. For this reason, antemortem and postmortem dental data are used for identification. In forensic dentistry, new techniques have been developed in addition to biochemical, metric and non-metric methods. The purpose of this review is to define the methods of identification and gender determination used in forensic dentistry.
