Abstract
Evaluation of masticatory function has great importance in terms of physiological point and comfort of patient especially at before, during and after orthodontic treatment. There are many studies evaluated the relationship between bite force, chewing pattern and malocclusion. The aim of this review is to take attention to assessment of masticatory function in patients with malocclusion.

Abstract
Çiğneme fonksiyonlarının değerlendirilmesi ortodontik tedavi öncesinde, sırasında ve sonrasında hem fizyolojik açıdan hem de hastanın konforu açısından büyük öneme sahiptir. Literatürde çiğneme fonksiyonları, ısırma kuvveti ve çiğneme paterni ile malokluzyon tipleri arasındaki ilişkiyi inceleyen birçok çalışma bulunmaktadır. Bu derlemenin amacı malokluzyona sahip hastalarda çiğneme fonksiyonlarının da değerlendirilmesine dikkat çekmektir.
