Multiple-Session Endodontic Treatment Of Maxillary Central Incisor With Total Crown Loss And Wide Periapical Lesion And Its Restoration With Fiber-Post Supported Composite Resin: 5-Year Follow-Up

Abstract

In the teeth which are subject to severe crown damage that have lesion in periapical zone, treatment consists of multiple sessions and patients feel uncomfortable with their appearance due to missing teeth form the front group during their treatment process. In this paper healing with endodontic treatment, without surgical treatment, of the left maxillary central tooth with wide lesion in periapical zone due to excessive crown loss and longterm negligence in terms of treatment, as well as permanent restoration of the tooth with polyethylene fibre post using temporary composite tooth in order to prevent loss-of-tooth appearance has been managed. The 5-year follow-up examinations showed that the restorations were still in place and successful, the periradicular lesion showed satisfactory healing radiographically

Total Kron Kaybı Olan Geniş Periapikal Lezyonlu Maksiller Santral Kesici Dişin Çok Seanslı Endodontik Tedavisi ve Fiber Post Destekli Kompozit Rezin İle Restorasyonu: 5 Yıllık Takip

Abstract

Aşırı kron harabiyetine uğramış, periapikal alanda lezyonu olan dişlerde, tedavi çok sayıda seanslardan oluşmakta ve hastalar tedavi süresince özellikle ön grup diş eksikliklerinde görünümlerinden rahatsız olmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, aşırı kron kaybı olan ve aynı zamanda uzun süre tedavi edilmeden beklediği için periapikal alanda geniş lezyonu olan maksiller sol santral dişin cerrahi tedavi olmaksızın endodontik tedavi ile iyileştirilmesi, seanslar sırasındaki dişsiz görünümü önlemek için geçici kompozit diş kullanılarak polietilen fiber post ile daimi restorasyonu amaçlanmıştır. 5 yıl sonraki kontrolde restorasyonların yerinde durduğu ve alınan radyografide lezyonun yeterince iyileştiği görüldü.
