Metal destekli porselen restorasyonlar klinik olarak uzun yıllardan beri başarıyla kullanılmalarına rağmen porselen ile kaplanmak zorunda olan metal alt yapı özellikle marjinlerde gri renkte hoş olmayan bir görüntüye sebep olabilmektedir. Bu problemin çözümü için çok sayıda tam porselen sistemi metal destekli geliştirilmişlerdir. Tam seramik restorasyonların uzun dönem ağız ortamında başarıyla hizmet verebilmeleri seramik, yapıştırma ajanı ve diş yapıları arasındaki bağlanmanın restorasyonların simantasyonu çinko fosfat yada modifiye cam iyanomer simanlarla yapılabilir.
