OBEZİTE VE PERİODONTAL DURUM ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN ANTROPOMETRİK VE BİYOELEKTRİK İMPEDANS YÖNTEMLERLE İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Amaç: Son yıllarda yapılan çalışmalar obezite, artmış beden ağırlığı veya artmış beden kitle indeksi (BKİ) ile periodontal hastalıklar arasında ilişki olabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır. Bu çalışmada periodontal tedavi gereksinimi ile antropometrik ve BIA bulguları arasındaki ilişkiyi belirlemek amaçlandı. Bireyler ve Yöntem: Çalışmaya yaşları 14 ile 70 arasında değişen (ortalama: 34.80±12.88) 90 erkek, 115 kadın toplam 205 kişi katıldı. Bireylerden boy, kilo, bel, kalça, ölçümleri yapıldı. Boy ve kilo ölçümlerinden BKİ hesaplandı. Ayrıca periodontal tedavi gereksinim- lerini belirlemek üzere CPITN (Community Periodontal Index of Treatment Needs) skorları kaydedildi. Gruplar arası karşılaştırmalarda bağımsız değişkenler için t testi, parametreler değişkenlerde Pearson analizi, kategorik değişkenlerde Spearman analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: 2.03±0.64, BKİ değerleri ortalaması 25.69±5.27, yağlılık değerleri ise 119.45±26.08 olarak bulundu. Kadınların bel/kalça oranı erkeklerden anlamlı düzeyde yüksekti (P
