Oral cerrahi i lemlerin daha hassas, h zl , güvenli ve a0r s z yap labilmesini sa0layan geli melere ra0men oral ve maksillofasiyal cerrahlar n kar la t klar ortak problem, 100 y l önce oldu0u gibi bugün de, postoperatif a0r n n kontrolüdür. Operasyon s ras nda ve postoperatif dönemde güvenli ve etkili a0r ve endie kontrolünü sa0lamak amac yla analjezik ilaçlar kullan lmaktad r.Postoperatif a0r y kontrol edebilmek için hekim, hangi operasyondan sonra, hangi hasta grubuna, nas l bir ilaç verece0ine; bu ilac n hangi formda, dozda, s kl kta ve ne kadar süre ile kullan laca0 na karar verebilmek için ilaçlar n klinik kullan mlar hakk nda detayl bilgiye sahip olmal , yeni ç kan ilaçlar ,kullan mda olan ilaçlar hakk ndaki geli meleri takip etmeli, bu amaçla çe itli kurulu lar taraf ndan önerilen protokolleri incelemelidir
