SUBLINGUAL RANULA: A CASE REPORT

Year 2015, Supplement 12, 18 - 20, 24.11.2015
https://doi.org/10.17567/dfd.64632

Abstract

The term ranula is used to describe mucoceles originated from submandibular and sublingual gland occuring on the floor of the mouth developing from extravasation of mucous after damage to the salivary gland or ducts. This report is presented clinical and radiological findings including USG of 20 years old male patient with painless swelling on the floor of the mouth. As a result of ultrasound imaging in the diagnosis of ranula is not a definitive diagnostic imaging method but can be considered as a supporter imaging modality
