Abstract

ÖZET



Davranış yönetimi, dental personelin çocuğa etkili ve verimli bir
şekilde tedavi uyguladığı ve aynı zamanda olumlu bir dental tutum
oluşturabildiği araçtır. Çocuklarda dental anksiyete yoğun ama durumsal ve
geçici bir kaygı sistemidir. Çocukların endişeli ve kooperatif davranışlarını
yönetmek için  birçok iletişimsel, ileri
teknik geliştirilmiştir. Bu makale, davranışsal bir perspektiften, çocuk diş
hekimleri için güvence sağlayan birçok tekniği açıklamaktadır. Önerilen yeni
araştırmalar bu prosedürleri basit bir uygulama ile sunar,  teknikler öğrenmesi orta derece kolaylıkta,
maliyeti düşük ve zaman tasarrufu sağlar niteliktedir. Diş hekimi ile çocuklar
arasındaki olumlu bir ilişki, sürekli değişen iletişim sırasında oluşur. İlk
hedef bu ilişkinin her zaman olumlu kalmasıdır.2015 AAPD davranış rehberinde
yeni bir teknik olan ‘Ask-tell-ask’ tekniğinden bahsedilmiştir. Bu yeni
tekniğin çocuk diş hekimliğinde davranış yönetimine rehberlik etmesi için nasıl
kullanılabileceğine dikkat çekiliyor.

Behaviour management in pediatric dentistry and
‘ask-tell-ask’ method



ABSTRACT



Behavior
management is the means by which the dental health team effectively and
efficiently performs treatment for a child and, 
at the same time, evokes a positive dental attitude
. Children's dental anxiety is an intense but situational and transient
apprehension system. Several communicative, advanced interventions have been
developed to manage children's anxious and cooperative behaviors.
This
paper explains many techniques that could offer dental professionals assurance
from a behavioral science perception, Recent researches proposed these
procedures can fit simply into regular practice, save cost efficient and time,
and are moderately easy to find out. An affirmative relationship between the
dentist and child is built during that changing communication. This first goal
is to keep this relationship always positive.‘Ask-tell-ask’ new technique is
mentioned in the 2015 AAPD guide line. It is pointed out how this new technique
can be used to guide behaviour management in pediatric dentistry.
