Abstract

ÖZET

Çağdaş İngiliz oyun yazarlarından David Hare, oyunlarında genellikle sosyal ve politik konuları ele alır. Çağdaş dünyanın çıkmazları, ülkeler arasındaki sorunların kaynağı, zenginlerin yoksullar üzerindeki baskısı Hare’in ele aldığı konulardan birkaçıdır. A Map of the World oyununda da eski ve yeni uygarlıklar arasındaki uyumsuzluk ve çatışmaların nedenlerini irdeleyen Hare, bu sorunlara açık bir çözüm getirmez ve yorumu izleyiciye bırakır.

ABSTRACT

David Hare, one of the contemporary British playwrights, deals with social and political issues in his plays. The dilemmas of today’s world, the source of the problems among the countries, and the pressure of the rich on the poor are some of the topics David Hare handles. As David Hare focuses on the disorders between old and new civilizations, he, by no means, draws a clear solution for such problems and leaves it to the audience.
