Geleneksel Bir Türk El Dokuması: Rize Bezi(Feretiko)

Tarihsel süreç içerisinde onlarca medeniyete ev sahipliği yapan Anadolu’nun, dokuma sanatına ait eserler yönünden çok zengin bir bölge olduğu görülür. Bölgedeki zenginliğe katkı yapan geleneksel Türk el dokumalarından birisi de Rize Bezi (Feretiko)’dir. Bu çalışmada, günümüzde unutulmak üzere olan Rize Bezi olarak bilinen, Rize kenti ve çevresine ait gelenekseldokumanın tarihsel süreci, özellikleri ve yapım aşamaları incelenmiştir.

Anatolia where dozens of civilizations were housed is very rich region in terms of handwoven art. Rize Cloth (Feretiko) is one of the traditional handweave which contributes to the wealth of the region. This paper focuses on the historical process of the traditional weaving, specifications and production phases of the handweave Rize Cloth which belongs to the city ofRize and it’s surroundings.
