Abstract

Interprofessional Education Health Education Interprofessional education is an approach to develop healthcare students for future interprofessional teams. It is implemented when two or more professions learn with, from and about each other to improve collaboration and the quality of care. Advocates suggest that IPE is important to cultivate mutual trust and respect, and to confront misconceptions and stereotypes, dispelling prejudice and rivalry between professionals. IPE provides an ability to share skills and knowledge between professions and allows for a better understanding, shared values, and respect for the roles of other healthcare professionals. Abstract

ÖZET

Meslekler arası eğitim sağlık ile ilgili eğitim alan öğrencilerin eğitiminde kullanılan bir yaklaşımdır. İki ya da daha fazla meslek grubunun işbirliğini geliştirmek, bakımın kalitesini artırmak ve birlikte öğrenmeyi ve çalışmayı sağlamak amacıyla uygulanmaktadır. Literatürde, meslekler arası eğitimin sağlık profesyonelleri arasında karşılıklı güven ve saygının geliştirilmesinde, yanlış ve basmakalıp önyargıların ve profesyoneller arasında olumsuz rekabetin giderilmesinde önemli olduğu vurgulanmaktadır. Meslekler arası eğitim ayrıca sağlık profesyonelleri arasında bilgi ve becerilerin paylaşılmasını, birbirlerini daha iyi anlamalarını ve meslekler arasında paylaşılan ortak değerler ve saygı oluşturulmasını sağlar. Ülkemizde mesleklerarası eğitimin henüz aktif olarak uygulanmamakta ancak uluslararası düzeyde bu uygulamanın önemine dikkat çekilmektedir.
