GÜVENLİ İSTİHDAMIN ÖNEMİ

Year 2008, Volume: 11 Issue: 3, 106 - 112, 19.02.2010

Abstract

Yapılan araştırmalarda, güvenli hemşire istihdamının sağlık hizmetlerinin ve hemşirelik
bakımının kalitesini belirleyen önemli faktörlerden birisi olduğu kanıtlanmıştır. Güvenli istihdam,
hasta bakım gereksinimlerinin ve güvenli çalışma koşullarının sağlanmasına olanak sağlayacak
uygun sayı ve nitelikte hemşirenin her zaman mevcut olması şeklinde tanımlanmaktadır.
Hastanelerde güvenli hemşire istihdamı sağlanması durumunda; mortalite oranları düşmekte,
hastanede kalış süreleri kısalmakta, hasta ve hemşire memnuniyeti artmakta, hastalara verilen
bakım ve hizmetin kalitesinde iyileşme görülmekte, istenmeyen olayların meydana gelme riski ve
sıklığı azalmakta, tüm bunların sonucunda maliyet azalmaktadır. Bu makalede güvenli hemşire
istihdamının önemi ve yararları tartışılacaktır.
