The Use of Nanotechnology in Health and Nurse’s ResponsibilitiesNanotechnology is production and investigation of miniaturized materials that could be seen by the human eye beyond and working on techniques to exploit them. Nanotechnology has entered applications such as medical imaging, pharmacology, microbiology, wound healing, tissue regeneration, the treatment of certain chronic diseases, genetic and vaccines. Nanotechnologic products provide benefits for carrying out testing and diagnostic procedures rapidly, diagnosing the cancer in the early stage, identification of pathogens, detailed imaging and preventing infections. Besides the mentioned benefits this products also bring some systemic, genetic and cytotoxic risks. This review article is intended to inform nurses about the applications of nanotechnology in the health field and risks of nanotechnology applications
̈ZET
ABSTRACT
The Use of Nanotechnology in Health and Nurse’s Responsibilities
Nanotechnology is production and investigation of miniaturized materials that could be seen by the
human eye beyond and working on techniques to exploit them. This review article is intended to inform nurses about the applications of nanotechnology in the health field and risks of nanotechnology applications.
Key words: Nanotechnology; health; diagnosis and treatment; risk; nursing.
