ÖĞRENCİ HEMŞİRELERİN BAKIM ODAKLI HEMŞİRE-HASTA ETKİLEŞİMİNE YÖNELİK TUTUM VE DAVRANIŞLARININ BAZI DEĞİŞKENLER AÇISINDAN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

ÖZET

Amaç: Bu çalışma hemşirelik öğrencilerinin
bakım odaklı hemşire hasta etkileşimine ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarını
değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır.

Yöntem: Tanımlayıcı olarak gerçekleştirilen bu
araştırmanın örneklemini, 2016-2017 öğretim yılında bir Sağlık Bilimleri
Fakültesi’nin hemşirelik bölümünde okuyan 258 öğrenci oluşturmuştur.
Veriler“Öğrenci Tanıtıcı Özellikler Formu” ve “Bakım Odaklı Hemşire-Hasta
Etkileşimi Ölçeği” (BOHHEÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde, yüzdelik dağılımlar
ile iki ortalama arasındaki farkın önemlilik testi, varyans analizi ve Mann
Whitney U testi kullanılmıştır.

Bulgular: Öğrencilerin yaşları ile bakım odaklı
hasta-hemşire etkileşimin önemlilik yeterlilik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutu
arasında ilişki olmadığı, cinsiyete ve sınıfa göre önemlilik boyutu; hemşirelik
mesleğini tercih etme nedenine göre önemlilik, yeterlik ve uygulanabilirlik
boyutu; bakımın hemşirenin temel görevi olduğunu düşünme durumlarına göre
önemlilik, yeterlik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutu ve stajda hasta iletişiminde
güçlük yaşama durumuna göre önemlilik, yeterlilik ve uygulanabilirlik boyutu
toplam puan ortalamaları arasında anlamlı bir fark olduğu saptanmıştır
(p<0.05).

Sonuç: Hemşirelik öğrencilerinin bakım odaklı
hemşire-hasta etkileşimlerine ilişkin tutum ve davranışlarının olumlu yönde
olduğu, kadın olan, son sınıfta olan, hemşirelik mesleğini sevdiği için tercih
eden, bakımın hemşirenin temel görevi olduğunu düşünen, stajda hasta
iletişiminde güçlük yaşamayanların bakım odaklı hemşire hasta etkileşimi tutum
ve davranışlarının daha olumlu olduğu bulunmuştur.

ABSTRACT

Analysis of Attitudes and Behaviors of Nursing
Students towards Care-Focused Nurse-Patient Interaction in terms of Some
Variables

Aim: This study was carried out in order to
evaluate the attitudes and behaviors of student nurses towards care-focused
interaction of nurse-patient.

Method: This descriptive study was conducted
with 258 students studying in nursing department of Faculty of Health Sciences
during 2016-2017 school year. As data collection tools, “Personal Information
Form” and “Care-Focused Nurse-Patient Interaction Scale” (CFNPIS) were used. In
the analysis of the data, significance test of difference between the two
means, variance analysis and Mann Whitney U test were used.

Results: It was found out that, there is no
relationship between the ages of the students and the subdimensions of
“importance”, “adequacy” and “applicability”of care-focused patient-nurse
interaction scale and there is a meaningful difference among their average
scores in “importance” subdimension according to
their gender and grade; “adequacy” subdimension according to their social
activities; “importance, adequacy and applicability”subdimensions according
tothe reasons of choosing nursing profession; “importance, adequacy and
applicability” subdimensions according to their perception of care as the basic
duty of nurses; “importance, adequacy and applicability” subdimensions
according to their difficulty experiences in their internship (p<0.05).

Conclusion: As a result, it was found that student
nurses have positive attitudes and behaviors towards care-oriented
nurse-patient interactions and the female nurse students who studies in the
last grade, who chose nursing occupation due to their love for the occupation,
who believe care is the core responsibility of a nurse, who do not experience
difficulties in their communication with the patients during their internship
have more positive attitudes and behaviors in care-oriented nurse-patient
interaction.
