Abstract
Bu çalışmanın amacı işveren ve işletme profilleri veri alınarak,
perakende işletmelerde cinsiyet ayrımcılığına etki eden faktörleri belirlemektir.
Çalışma için anket yöntemiyle, küçük işletmelerde tezgahtar seçimine ilişkin
değer yargıları ve işletme ile işveren profillerine ait bilgiler toplanmıştır. Bu
bilgiler çerçevesinde değişkenler belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada En Küçük Kareler
Yöntemiyle (EKKY) elde edilen tek ve çok değişkenli regresyon analizi
sonuçlarına göre işverenin yaşı, işletmenin faaliyet süresi, işletmenin mülkiyeti,
ortak sayısı, çakıştırılan bay sayısı, müşteri profili, işletmenin faaliyet gösterdiği
yerleşim yerinin büyüklüğü gibi temel faktörler cinsiyet ayrımcılığını
istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve pozitif etkilerken; işverenin cinsiyeti, eğitim
düzeyi, müşterilerin gelir düzeyi, çalıştırılan bayan sayısı gibi temel faktörler
cinsiyet ayrımcılığını istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve negatif etkilemektedir.
Cinsiyet ayrımcılığında hangi faktörlerin hangi cinsiyet yönünde ayrımcılık
yarattığını belirlemek amacıyla da EKKY’yle tek değişkenli regresyon analizleri
yapılmıştır.
